we went camping at the local lake, chilled around the campfire made smores, had some drink. alex played guitar.

then we did a little fishing int he morning. unsuccessful, but fun at the least.

then it got hot

and the guys decided to jump into the no-swimming lake.

we started calling around. city pool was closed for a meet, WTF! town nearby you had to pay the waterbill to swim there, and the country cub, ah well i couldnt get a hold of my mom to get the code!

so we drove 50 miles to garden to go swimming in a pretty magnificent city pool, so much better than here, and cheaper!

we all got sunburns, and rode our bikes around garden.

it was great.

took lots of pics, but they surely wont be up for a great while, seeinga s i spent too much on camping supllies.

preparing for university has been sucking up life! so nothing much is interesting other than my flickr pics!

other than that nothing much is happening! right now im thinking about what major i should declare, how my shoes will not match these shorts and are insufficient for bike riding and that ive never been so indecisive about a pair of shorts in my life! im going to return them, perhaps some better ones can be found

or some keds, which i will need for walking on campus!

these are the things youll find in the homes of hispanic families, in cities like dodge at taco wagons. the stuff im used to.

the real deal

let me share how theyre made the best i can so you can enjoy a taste of old mexico as well, maybe youve had em and always wondered how they were made?

youll need:

beef (not sure where it comes from on the cow. just. NOT ground, or chuck, or any of that)

onion

tomato

tomato bullion

cumin

garlic powder

tortillas

youll need to chop the meat into small chunks and throw em in a pot. add as much chopped onion and tomato and seasonings as you like. this dish can get extremly salty in a hurry. so be careful noobies. cook them on high until the meat is done.

warm the tortillas on a wide pan on the stove, or cast iron comal if you have one, flip and heat till they are soft and browned in a few spots.

and thats it!

beans are a little harder as i didnt see how they were made. it should be as simple as putting them in a crock pot for a few hours.

to jazz up the beans we added calcique table cream

so delicious.

ok heres the details!

theme: marie antoinette meets lady gaga. well the 21st century really XD

im going to nickname it 4 days of versailles. since my birthday falls on a thursday, so i will be celebrating starting

thursday by going back to dodge to renew my license,

friday getting a tattoo “let themeat cake…”, and

saturday really throwing it down, and

sunday of course since its still the weekend ill dress the part.

i bought  two lace tops for the occasion so far. im going to get a great party dress and a couple more tops, and loads of tacky pearls and gold and pink cameos.

and ill throw some of those around for decoration

ooooooh the decorations. ah.

well im planning on buying some really tacky gold candlestick holders, some 18th century art if i can find any reproductions or something, some fancy shmancy looking mirrors and some damask or the like fabric to make temporary curtains and a table cloth

oof sounds expensive!

and then theres dessert!

if i can im going to find macrons,

but i will definitely be make the “hello, cupcake” butterfly cupcakes, opera singers (they look like marie), and some yummy pastel ones of course!

probably have chocolate to dip fruit in as well

and some bubbly of course!

and i will play all my favorite jams and the tv will be playing the movie throughout the night.

i think marie is the perfect 21st birthday inspiration XD

i found a job at forever 21 in the mall. its pretty alright

although i am looking for something a little more grownup.

i do believe we are moving again! into another apartment more in the artsy district. yay! living with roomates is just proven to be difficult. they have their ups and downs. and for me itd prolly be easier to live with a girl.

but im hopeinghopeinghopeing that soon after that well be able to wrangle in enough money to get our dogs up here. and to save for my birthday party!

well i really want a job. would make things a little less boring. the cold forces us to stay in a lot.

ive finally gotten it cleaned and decorated to my liking for now the in-laws are coming this weeken, hopefully bringing along my little loves i havnt seen them in three weeks!

well anyways. life here is going to be great once i get out of the circle of “eternal saturday”

sometimes though i just know the marterial, as in the case of my science final this morning. i think i did alright on it!

but math is coming up wednesday! dundunDUN!

so im getting some help from chelsea again. it helps to just have someone to sit there and talk things through with, even if shes not in the class, at least shes smart! hehe

but ugh i just have this impending doom! i need at least a D, yes it has gotten THAT bad!

its all i need but its also where im sitting, the lowest a d could possibly be! so i have noooo idea what kind of a grade i need onthe final to keep myself a float, which is probably a good thing, because since i dont know that means i need to do as much as i possibly can to get an A on the final!

our dog roo just had puppies yesterday! so its been such a blessing being with her.

today im going to continue working on ulys christmas present, a bucilla stocking, and dcorate the christmas tree! by myself lol its ok though haha.

I cant wait for finals week to be over with. i studied hard for my math test and i think i did well and i worked VERY hard on my science term paper thursday! so friday i felt very accomplished! but i will need to study tonight for science and th rest of the week for math and do two more workouts.

after finals week i have plans to bake some cookies whether my friends want to join me or not hehe! im sure uly will though

im going to use a recipe from taste of home his time around. i like testin out the different kinds so i can decide on one that i want to be my tried and true!

uly and i just turned in our donations for the food drive. makes me so happy

i love this christmas spirit. i also love saving money and balancing my checkbook im so weird i know. but ive been watching my savings lately.

i do need rubber floormats for my carito gah im just blabbing on.
